Advocating to shift Detroit’s outdated, costly, and anti-urban approach to parking policy, based on the revelatory principles of economics professor and parking guru, Donald Shoup. Eliminate parking mandates!

Doing Development Differently in Metro Detroit (D4) - Public Policy & Education

Working as Director of Policy & Education for a regional non profit devoted to enhancing community benefits outcomes for real estate development projects that take advantage of public assistance.

 

City of Detroit - Community Engagement Strategy

Working with Interboro Partners and previously with Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD) to design and implement community engagement strategies for the G7 Neighborhood Framework Plan and a citywide Needs Assessment for the City of Detroit’s Parks and Recreation Department.

Developing a unique online reimagining of an early 20th Century riverfront amusement park.

Arena District - Neighborhood Advisory Committee

Served as chair of an elected and appointed body of community stakeholders to advise the City of Detroit on matters related to the development of Little Caesar’s Arena and the surrounding District Detroit.

Capital Impact Partners - Public Policy & Strategy

Developed strategy and policy metrics to evaluate Capital Impact’s Inclusive Growth Framework, which aims to improve economic mobility in targeted, asset-rich neighborhoods and mixed use neighborhoods in Detroit.

Kresge Cohort - Strategic Planning

Co-created coordinated strategic planning and implementation process for staff members at four community development intermediaries: Arise Detroit, Community Development Advocates of Detroit, Detroit Collaborative Design Center, and
Michigan Community Resources.
